onThe Verywell Mind Podcast, Amy Morin, LCSW, interviews authors, experts, entrepreneurs, athletes, musicians, and other inspirational people about the strategies that help them think, feel, and do their best in life.
Dr. Myron Rolle is a former NFL player turned neurosurgeon. In college, he received a Rhodes Scholarship, which caused him to have to make a choice between getting drafted into the NFL or continuing his education. He opted to continue his education.
He joined the NFL later but only played football a few more years. He decided to go to medical school and he’s now working as a neurosurgery resident at Havard-Massachusetts General Hospital.
He’s also the author of a new book called “The 2% Way.” In it, he describes how striving to become two percent each day helped him achieve his goals on the athletic field, in college, and in life.
Dr. Rolle shows how striving to become just a little better each day has helped him to accomplish so many things in his life. And he generously shares his strategies with other people.
In addition to helping people with his knowledge, he’s also sharing resources. He is the founder and chairman of the Myron L. Rolle Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting global health, wellness, education, and other initiatives supporting children and families in need.
He talks about the importance of having a purpose, giving to others, and working hard to reach his greatest potential.
